This weekend’s ACC games: Nov. 6-Nov. 8, 2014

There are five ACC matchups this week, with four teams getting a bye. Here’s a look at this weekend’s upcoming games.

Thursday Nov. 6, 2014

No. 21 Clemson (6-2, 5-1 ACC) vs. Wake Forest (2-6, 0-4)

  • 7:30 p.m. – ESPN
  • Tigers by 21
  • Clemson is looking to build on its five-game winning streak, which started the week after a 23-17 loss to No. 2 FSU. Wake Forest, on the other hand, is trying to end a four-game losing streak. The Demon Deacons haven’t won since they toppled Army 24-21 on Sept. 20.

Saturday Nov. 8, 2014

No. 22 Duke (7-1, 3-1) vs. Syracuse (3-6, 1-4)

  • 12:30 p.m. – ESPN3
  • Blue Devils by 3.5
  • Duke squeaked out a 51-48 win last week against Pittsburgh, needing some help from a missed Panthers’ 26-yard field goal right before regulation ended to force the game into overtime. The Orange are trying to avoid its second losing streak of at least three games this season.

No. 24 Georgia Tech (7-2, 4-2) vs. North Carolina State (5-4, 1-4)

  • 12:30 p.m. – ACC Network
  • Yellow Jackets by 3.5
  • Georgia Tech rolled to a 25-point win over Virginia last week to get back on track with a two-game win streak. The Wolfpack ended a four-game losing skid and broke a 12-game ACC losing streak with a 24-17 win over Syracuse last weekend in upstate New York.

Virginia (4-5, 2-3) vs. No. 2 Florida State (8-0, 5-0)

  • 6:30 p.m. – ESPN
  • Seminoles by 19.5
  • Virginia started its season 4-2 but has since lost three straight. Florida State fell behind 21-0 but used a hefty second half comeback to overcome Louisville last week, 42-31.

Louisville (6-3, 4-3) vs. Boston College (6-3, 3-2)

  • 7:15 p.m. – ESPN2
  • Cardinals by 3
  • The Cardinals held a 21-7 lead over Florida State last Thursday night at halftime but couldn’t hold on and dropped to 6-3. The Eagles beat the Hokies by two points last weekend in Blacksburg to become bowl eligible for the second season in a row.
