Florida State RB Dalvin Cook Acquitted of Battery

After a tumultuous off-season with uncertainty swirling around the running back position for Florida State, it appears that the situation is finally coming to a head. The Seminoles returning starter at running back, Dalvin Cook, was acquitted of a misdemeanor battery charge on Monday night, which stemmed from an off-season incident in Tallahassee.

Cook rushed for over 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns as a freshman in 2014, and has been indefinitely suspended while the trial was ongoing. Cook will return to the team promptly, and should be the lead back for the ‘Noles when their season opens in just a few short weeks.
