The ACC released its preseason all-conference squad Wednesday with defending national champion Clemson leading the way.
The Tigers had five players selected by 167 members of the conference media. Voting took place at last week’s ACC Kickoff event in Charlotte, N.C.
Clemson will be tough all over the field, but particularly in the trenches. Both defensive tackle spots went to the Tigers with junior Christian Wilkins and sophomore Dexter Lawrence filling the roles.
On offense, junior tackle Mitch Hyatt and redshirt-senior guard Tyrone Crowder represent a talented offensive line.
Defending Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson is the unquestioned quarterback for the All-ACC roster in 2017. He was named the preseason Player of the Year in addition to his spot atop the team.
Eleven of the conference’s 14 football programs had at least one representative on the 2017 All-ACC Preseason Team.
Below is the team itself, as well as a breakdown of the entire voting organized by position.
