Virginia Tech’s rising sophomore Travon McMillian had quite the freshman campaign in 2015, emerging in early October to become the go-to ball-carrier on the offense. After becoming the first Hokies running back to eclipse the 1,000 yard mark since David Wilson in 2011, can he follow-up his strong start to his collegiate career with yet another similar season in 2016? Where does Shai McKenzie fit into the mix, if at all? Also, what should be the expectation for fullback Sam Rogers in the new offense under Justin Fuente? Will Rogers be used more in the passing game, or will he receive enough carries to truly spell Travon McMillian?
I joined Mark Rogers to discuss the many possibilities for the Hokies backfield heading into the fall. See the full video below, and be sure to stick with InsideTheACC for more exclusive conference football coverage as we inch closer to the start of the college football season.
