The Florida State Seminoles enter the 2017-18 season as one of the top teams in the country. Redshirt-sophomore quarterback Deondre Francois is moving into his second season as the starter after a strong freshman campaign last year. From Nyquan Murray to Auden Tate, there are no shortage of weapons at Francois’ disposal in the passing game, and the running game should be strong once again as one of the top recruits in the country, Cam Akers, steps in to replace Dalvin Cook.
Defensively, the Seminoles boast one of the top units in the ACC, led by Derwin James at the safety position. Now that he is finally healthy, James will lead a young defense that rapidly improved as the season wore on in 2016.
With all of the talent and potential on offense and defense, will the Seminoles find a way back to the top of the Atlantic Division and contend for a College Football Playoff spot? I sat down to discuss with Mark Rogers.
