Mitchell Trubisky selected by Chicago Bears No. 2 in NFL Draft

The Chicago Bears stunned everyone Thursday night by trading up one spot in the 2017 NFL Draft to select North Carolina quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.

Chicago sent the No. 67 and No. 111 picks in this year’s draft as well as a third-round selection in 2018 to the San Francisco 49ers in order to obtain the second overall pick.

The selection of Trubisky comes after the Bears signed former N.C. State quarterback Mike Glennon to a three-year, $45 million deal in the offseason. That contract includes $18.5 million in guaranteed money, which means Trubisky will have time before he’s forced into action.

Our own Jeff Greenberg joined Mark Rogers of MarkRogersTV to discuss what Trubisky brings to the table.
