Reports: Syracuse Senior QB Terrel Hunt Ruptures Right Achilles

 

Jesse Dougherty of Sports Illustrated is reporting that Syracuse quarterback Terrel Hunt ruptured his right achilles in last night’s victory over Rhode Island. The Syracuse Athletic Department has yet to make an official release on the injury news to Hunt, who left last night’s game and was unable to put any weight on his right foot. The timetable for return, in accordance with injuries of this nature, is approximately 6-9 months, which would effectively end his season.

Quarterback Eric Dungey, who took over for Hunt in last night’s game, will now be the anticipated replacement for the remainder of the season. Dungey completed 10 of his 17 passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns in his time last night.
