Road To Signing Day 2014

The “Road To Signing Day 2014” is a report on how each school in the Atlantic Coast Conference is doing in class of 2014 football recruiting.  Throughout this recruiting year, all the way up until Signing Day next February, we’ll provide the latest commitment updates and rankings for each ACC program.

Since the April 17 report, Boston College, Duke, Florida State, Miami, North Carolina, N.C. State, Pittsburgh, Virginia, and Virginia Tech have added recruits.  The Hokies scored three new commitments, while Boston College added two, and the rest of the schools added one apiece.  Quarterback Chandler Kincade parted ways with Pitt, which then rebounded with a commitment from a 3-star offensive line prospect.

With nine recruits, Florida State is tops in the conference in terms of the amount of commitments.  Virginia Tech’s recent run vaults the program to second in the ACC with eight commitments.  Boston College, Miami, and UNC have seven each.

Below is a compilation of how each school in the Atlantic Coast Conference is faring.  Note that Maryland is no longer in the listing because of the fact that they will move to the Big 10 in the 2014 season.  Louisville is not listed either because they are not yet in the ACC.  Included in each player listing is the player’s name, position, school (and school location), and the player’s highest star rating among the four national recruiting outlets (Rivals, Scout, ESPN, 247).  Later in the year, the star rating will be an average of the four national sites.
