We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Zach Evans to the position of Managing Editor of InsideTheACC.com.
Zach is a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina, receiving his degree in Communications Studies in December of 2012. While a student at UNC, Zach was the Multimedia Editor for The Daily Tar Heel from January 2011 to May 2012.
While working for The Daily Tar Heel, Zach was nominated for the 2012 College Media Association Pinnacle Award for “Best Viral Video.”
Zach has been producing the UNC Beat reports for InsideTheACC.com since August.
As Managing Editor of ITA, Zach will be responsible for writing and posting original articles about Atlantic Coast Conference athletics, updating ITA’s Daily Newslink each day, manning the @InsideTheACC Twitter feed, moderating the ITA Forums, and managing (and growing) ITA’s blogging team.
With Zach at the helm full-time, InsideTheACC.com will serve as a great resource for keeping up to date on the ACC. Make sure you follow @InsideTheACC, bookmark the site, and keep track of the ITA Forums.
Without further ado, let’s let Zach introduce himself.
I’m Zach Evans, and I am excited to be the new Managing Editor of InsideTheACC.com. I have been writing here at InsideTheACC.com since August, posting for the UNC beat. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in December. Growing up in North Carolina before attending UNC, I have long been a passionate follower of the conference, and I hope that will show in what you see at this website.
My goal for Inside The ACC is to make it a destination for fans of the Atlantic Coast Conference and its member schools. We will produce insightful, engaging commentary and insight on conference trends, teams, and news, as well as offer a reliable directory for the latest news. Perhaps more importantly, though, we will feature a community of devoted fans. After all, sports would be a lot less fun without people around with whom to discuss them.
